It's a decision many parents are  agonizing over, whether to take back children to school and nurseries or hire a  childcarer to look after their child or  children at home. At-Home childcare doesn't just give parents the time they need to provide for their family during this time, it also helps to know that their child or children are not in crowded place at school or nursery.

At-home childcare is a  safer option than a large child care center since it can  be in-home child care provided by one person.

There’s no way to guarantee that a person coming into the home is not an asymptomatic carrier of the coronavirus, short of massive testing of the entire population, but this is a less risky option than putting a large group of children together in a common space, which is why schools are closed in the first place

 KIDS LEARN TO SOCIALISE.

Home based childcare can help kids to meet other kids when the childcarers organise with other childcarers  in smaller groups and help kids socialise at local parks, libraries, through kids social events on a regular basis on Zoom. Some of the kids may be of the same age and others may be younger or older. Your child will be interacting with them on a day to day basis, which may help children to master their socializing skills. Your child may understand and learn the art of making friends too.

CHILDREN LEARN TO FOLLOW THE SCHEDULE.

Though there may not be any formal education imparted with home childcare, the various activities that are planned for the children are executed in a structured manner. Your kid may learn how to do things as per the schedule and this is amongst one of the many benefits of a childcarer for toddlers. Children can be also be involved in planning the schedules and activities.

CHILDREN START TO LEARN FROM AN EARLY AGE.

A home childcarer not only take care of your child but they also plan various activities for your child. These activities help your kid to learn various educational concepts at a young age. At Abundant Life Family Care we have adopted the play and learn concept, therefore, the importance of a childcarer in child development cannot be undermined.

Young childrens’ brains are developing quickly. They pick up everything around them - what to say and how to behave. They are active too and learn new things from trying them out. They learn a lot from playing and childcarers are trained to make sure the activities they do make the most of this.

CHILDCARE IS FUN!

Childcarers pack a lot of fun activities and games into a day. They might go out and about to toddler groups, soft play, the woods, beach or local farm. When at home, they’ll do singing, storytelling, making, building, cooking, painting, or games in the garden. They have a wide range of toys to play with, so whatever your child is interested in, they’ll find something to enjoy.

CHILDCARE IS SAFE.

At home Childcarers in England can be registered with Ofsted  just like schools and nurseries. Only childcarers with a “good” or “outstanding” Ofsted rating can offer funded childcare. They have checks to ensure their suitability (DBS checks) and are insured. They have lots of professional training and know about keeping children safe. They also do regular risk assessments. But even with all this in place, you still need to be able to trust your childcarer, so ask as many questions you like and tell them what you’re worried about. Chances are they’ll have heard it before and will be able to put your mind at ease.
